The Hermitage-Zoar Note-Book and Journal of Travel and Letters, New York: privately printed at the DeVinne Press, 1902. 8vo, finely bound in full morocco. Limited first editions printed on handmade paper; Letters is numbered 285 and Note-Book is numbered 411. Gunn (1837-1901) was a wealthy Cleveland businessman who visited Zoar in 1879. He fell in love with the village and, upon retirement, moved there, occupying the home known as the Hermitage. Provenance: the collection of the late Jo Louise Brown, Zoar, Ohio.
